It's hard to believe that when I report by phone, I am so frustrated with the Canadian Anti-Fraud phone line. When I call, it only tells me that it is closed and open from 10:00 am to 4:45 pm Eastern Time, with a long wait time before a response is provided, so I'm asked to call back. However, they hang up on me.
Furthermore, I then attempt to call the True Good Force RCMP's non-emergency line, only to be told there is nothing they can do unless I am reporting being scammed now, not preventing one from scamming millions from seniors. How absurd this is now; we must first lose money before they will conduct any investigation, then lose money before they report. We must help prevent new Smart Fraudsters in their tracks. Please help me.
It appears that the same issue I reported to the Canadian Tire Fraud department. They just told me not to click on the link to buy any Crypto, even though they do not allow this type of transaction, as it may still be accepted, and then I would be responsible for the cost.
